Deutsches Reich Kennkarte dated 1941.
This was the basic identity card in use during the Third Reich era and were introduced in 1938. Normally issued by the police they had the issuing office and stamps on them. Every citizen was expected to produce it if asked.
This is a good example and is made of cloth like material presumably to avoid it tearing issued to elderly gentleman born in 1875
