Deutsche Inselzeitung German troops newspaper.
Edition dated Tuesday 23 July 1940. This is a 4 page version of the paper and was clearly less than a month after the occupation began.
The Deutsche Inselzeitung was a german language newspaper printed for the troops in Jersey to keep them up to date wth the war’s progress from the German perspective with the Jersey Evening Post being printed on the reverse in english.
This paper shows signs of aging with some tears/rips but remains an interesting historical document
