A Red Cross message dated 1/12/1943 sent by Mr C J Hockaday to his parents in Guernsey with a reply 17/3/1944 and dated 17/7/1944 by the States of Guernsey showing the length of time it took to send and receive messages.
A fascinating piece of occupation history – note reference to Ormers being expensive!
