Kreigsmarine Swastika Flag – Harbour Lofsen Flag 1,0 X 1,4

This item has probably seen a fair amount of usage in all honesty. Its a Swastika emblem on a white and red background, we are unsure of its history however it belonged to the German Kreigsmarine and was most likely used as a harbour guide flag. Looking at the condition of the flag that would make sense as the flag retains its original metal shackles that are heavily rusted due to salt air and the flag itself has been dried out and has various small holes and imperfections caused by the weather.
That said its a really interesting item, the canvas topper on the flag is stamped ‘Lofsen Flag’ which translated means ‘Guide Flag’
Whilst not mint condition that in itself tells us that it has been heavily used and has seen a fair amount of deployment in its position! The top left hand corner has a small war-time patch repair with heavy stitching.
