Wehrpass & Death Certificate – 2nd Panzer Lance Corporal Gebhardt
This Wehrpass & Death Certificate belonged to one ‘Georg Gebhardt’ of the 2nd Panzer Division ,Gebhardt was a Lance Corporal born on the 01/05/1920 and enlisted in the Wehrmacht on the 13/02/1939.
He saw action in Germany, France and finally in Russia serving on the Eastern Front where he was sadly K.I.A on the 09/07/1941 near Smolensk aged only 21.
This is a interesting personal collection as death certificates are not as common as Wehrpasses but also the fact both these items belonged to the same individual. This collection also comes with the original newspaper cutting listing Corporal Gebhardt as K.I.A
It comes with a full laminated card detailing entries inside the Wehrpass in English.
